Photoshop!

If I had to pick one creative outlet, it would definitely be photoshop. Adobe's most popular app is definitely the closest to my heart by far. Ive been using it for so long, I've lost track of when I discovered it. I think it was sometime around high school. Maybe around junior or senior year.

haha well anyhooww, ive really been in love with the program since day one. It's helped me to really see my artistic talents in a whole new light. It's helped me to discover many things that I never knew I liked. Thanks to ps, I got into photography. I've also starteded doing a lot of abstract art thanks to it.

Perhaps my favorite thing about the program is that you can never know everything about it. Im always discovering new ways to do things. I frequently stumble on things that I never knew I could do with it. With photoshop, your imagination is truly the limit.

You can even do painting with it. I was amazed at some of the things people have painted with it. I wonder if adobe realized all the incredible things people would use photoshop for..

mmmmm microwave

So I have basically been sick this whole week as some of may have guessed. It sucks on so many levels. I hate being cooped up and missing out on everything, but one thing that I can't do when im sick is cook. I've started to actually become pretty god at it, but I can't do it all when im sick. So, microwave food would the answer it seems. I guess it's not a problem for most people but im doing bodybuilding and I usually avoid fatty, processed foods. So, I guess it wasn't the best but it got me through. Me and chicken nuggets became bffs this week. We came to a mutual understand I guess.

Microwave food is really convenience stuff when it comes down to . You put it in and microwave does all the work. It's easy to do and quick. I don't know, it felt sort of lazy.

Dreamers

I didn't always know that I was interested in art. I've been doodling on my paper since middle school and I guess that is sort of a sign that art is in your blood, but when I did I almost become interested in digital art. I've never been very good at tradition art (like drawning or painting.) For me, art has always been about using my labtop. It's more than a major. I have a very active imagination and digital art is my way of getting down all the things I dream about. I usually created something new every few days. Like I said, I have a very active imagination and digital creativity is a huge part of me. Being creative is everything for me.

Ive been doing 3d modelling stuff for probably around 4 years now.. admitantly from humble beginnings. Here is some of my first work. Probably done around 2007

Here is some of my later stuff, from around 2010

People often ask me if this is a photo and I tell them that it's not.

Ring ring ring!

If there is anything more common in today's word than facebook or myspace, it's cell phones. Everywhere from a crowded bus to the street, they can be seen doing everything from playing games to downloading ring tones. Cellphones have definitely become today's most ubiquitous means of communucation,.

For a long time, I used an outdated cellphone and I can firmly say I was jealous of everyone else in high school. Up until about 3 months ago, I was using a very old black and white phone. I think it was 2004 or something. The display was very old and grainy. No camera or anything.

Then over the summer I decided that I am in need for a new phone. Something that can record videos. Something that is not antiquated. But I had a dilama. No job. But all hope was not lost. I realized that my parents had a tree they wanted to cut down. So, i decided to undertake this monumental task in the hopes that I might emerge with a new way of keeping in touch with people. For 3 days, I sat outside in the hot sun, chopping this thing down. But I wasn't happy with just cutting it down to size. I also wanted to get the stump out. My neighbor (who has been doing construction for decades) and my parents said it couldn't be done. But being me (germans are said to be people who dont give up easily) I was undeterred. So, I managed to dig under the tree and cut off all or the 4 enormous roots using a hatchet that my neighbor lent me.

After all this, my parents old gave me $100, but I was happy when I realized that I could trade in my outdated phone for some thing a little sexier. Since this thing has become a part of my life, I don't know how I lived with the old one. The ability to take pictures and text videos has really changed the bonds between me and my friends. Plus, using this phone in general is much funner than the old one. It can actually entertain me whenever boredom sets in. With my old phone, i only used it when I had to call someone. My new one has a much bigger role in my life. I find myself taking pics of random things. I guess im still getting used to all the great things this things has.

Itunes, how I love you

If there is one thing that I can't do without, it's music. Music is everywhere in my life. As I am doing this, i am listening to something ("Roads" by within the ruins.) I always work better when there is music in the background. It speaks to me on a personal level. It gives me drive and prevents my mind from wandering. Without music, I often get sidetracked doing stuff (im sure we can all relate to this.) Music provides me with the inspiration I need to get into things.

Heck, I even have music for when I fall asleep. Certain songs help to make me feel more relaxed and fall alseep faster. When I hit the play button, all my worries seem to slip away and I feel at ease. It's can be a dream like feeling. Music can change the way you think about yourself and the world in an incredible way. It takes you away to a dfferent place.

I am not a mac person but I fell in love with itunes at first sight. It just seemed so simple and elegant. It let me do everything I want without and hassle. Many other similar programs seem like they've got all this extra stuff that just gets in the way. Itunes is a pleasure to use too. The interface just looks sexy. It's not often that that a program packs so much aesthetic brilliance.

Who knew facebook could be so addicting?

When I first got facebook a few years back, I never dreamed that it could have taken over my life the way it has now. I thought it would just be something that I go in and check up on every once in awhile. I guess everyone is different, but it's become a huge thing for me. In fact, it's how I start my day off alot of the time. A lot of the time, I will go thinking that it's only going to be a quick visit and next thing I know, an hour has gone by. Im sure a lot of people have had the same thing happen to them..

Still, facebook is a ton of fun. I think it's hard to deny that. It helps me keep in touch with some of my long time friends. Whenever I meet new people, adding them always helps because (heres a little trivia about me), im not very good with names. Seeing them on facebook helps me to avoid mixing people up. Facebook is an invaluable communication tool as well. It delivers everything from texting and email and gives you a ton of more stuff to boot. Not only does it allow you to connect with your friends, but I also really love how it's kind of like a journal at the same time. It gives you a way to sort of make a flip book of your day to day life.

A few years ago I didn't even know what social networking is but I can't imagine my life without it. It's allowed me to maintain my ties to people I've known for years. It's like being able to hang out with your friends no matter where you are.
